Like It Was Before (Sonnet)

Like It Was Before (Sonnet)

Upon my roving eyes and with demise
I've find these truths that have once haunted us,
and made charade of love in both our eyes.
Our times we talk, make it hard to discuss

the delicate discourse* of what occurred.
Our child rebels with pain afflicting woes
while self-absorbed emotions have now blurred.
This need to recognize should need not close,

yet, this is serendipitous for all,
because our child has made us so aware.
If I caress this unconditional
compassion, by refraining from my affair.

Let lions become the lambs forevermore
with home together like it was before.

A well composed sonnet, Alex, and well expressed.
In your second line, however, it might be best to write "I've found" rather than "I've find." Or, simply say "I find" and drop the apostrophe 've. It needs to be all one tense or another—past or present, but not both.
