Like the Water and the Sky

Every night blesses us with the calmness of the dark,
The moon speaks to you as you snooze off tight. 
It's a private flight, just you and the sky,
wishing you sweet dreams, as it swishes through your mind,
and brings to life the thoughts that sleep only when the sun comes up.
Every morning it ignites life of you and I,
duties ticking, coffee time.
The moon's time now is to re-charge,
still, you dream awake of the fantasies it planted in your head,
while your body sleeps the soul awakes.
That's the language of the universe, through us the people,
The two lovers that carry each other within,
spread their love on you and me.
They come and go as the hours’ pass,
without you knowing, they catch a glimpse in between,
the morning and the evening.
Work is around the corner, school bells ring, and reality begins,
The sun seeks for the moon in those who can't help but dream,
See, we compliment the sky, by just being you and I,
Let's dream awake, while duties override,
and share the break when the moon comes back,
share a kiss good night, while the sun sleeps beneath,
the moon brings back the dream, to the lovers that can see.
I write to you while you're next to me,
the kind of love that never sleeps.
