Poem -

Linguistic Failure

I thought of telling you,
    "I Love You"
But, I haven't dared,
I am too Afraid.

I don't want to
Put my feelings for you
In so a limited
Frame,
Which has been painted,
Or, better to say,
Contaminated,
By the history of
"Lovers and Beloveds"
I do not want to
Restrict Sensation
With Expression.

You may call me coward,
Or,
A self-justifying whore,
A promiscuous sophist,
A glib philomisist,
But, you too
Do not dare to
Put my essence
In a formulated phrase.

Let us not say a word,
Let us be dumb and use
Our sense
To experience.

Ah, fuck it!
I love you___
I guess that'll do.
