"Listen To Me"...i need you to know......

"Listen to me!"..is what she said, she tried all night to explain, but I would not listen
This love-dream had been my support throughout the affair and I would not give in
Many and anxious were the thoughts I revolved around in my mind
I wanted to spare my lover the insults that I knew she would find
For deep in my heart of hearts I knew I could not hold back the rage
For finding her in bed with another man started in me fires of hate
And so, although I appeared to be calm on the surface, inside I was evil
I wanted revenge, I wanted to chop off her head and throw it into the street
I was an animal waiting to explode through it's cage doors, on fire
And willing to kill anything and everything that my heart desired
"Listen to me , I need you to know!" is what she tried to whisper
But my hearing had somehow shut off, all I could hear was, "hey mister"
The love of your life has just taken your heart and denied it respect
So my soul felt like it had been soiled and just left there in hell
To squirm in dismay and horrible pain even the palms of my hands felt pain
I couldn't make sense of my feelings at all until finally I fell down and refrained
From crying or feeling anything at all, and still she begged "Listen to me.."
But I couldn't hear anything at all.....
"I need you to know.."
No, I couldn't feel anything at all.....
