Little Fish Part 3

(Flame without Oxygen)

Little Fish Part 3

Little Fish
How far you`ve come
From distant shores
And battles won.

Oh Little Fish
So much you have learned
From far off paradise
And broken shipwrecks

Long ago, you once said to me
Starvation is the key to staving the flame
But no one can live without oxygen.
You found yourself suffocating.
Unable to breath  the water around you.

Little Fish, waves guided your decisions
Of happiness or sadness
Lows and highs

But now the compass is set.

North
South
East
West.

Thank you, I was thrown a lifeline

By some key people
By some heroes to my ocean
By love, by passion
A pure devotion

Little Fish,
You have so much to live for
To dream for
To hope for
To look forward for

“Just keep swimming”

Through currents and waters true.
Calm or rough.
And in Oceans blue.

How far you have come
The Fish of the Sea.

Bless you all for supporting me on this journey.

Your opening verse pulled me straight into the depths of your piece. I knew straight away this was going to be an attentive write to yourself. It didn’t disappoint. Beautiful words Max. I feel your ocean is expanding and I hope rising you up to take a good breath of that ice needed oxygen

Ahh yes! Thanks for picking that up Gwen, a stylistic feature I wanted to reintroduce in part 3~ Your kind words mean so much, I feel as if I'm starting a new chapter in my poetry and perspective on life. Starting to breath the water around me, accepting it. I'm really touched that you commented on this on Gwen. Smiles to you. Also dont be sorry! We should all remember that our time is completely voluntary on this site! You are under no obligation, poetry can wait for real life. Happy birthday to him! Peace and calm waters swimming your way Gwen. Your friend Max

Hi, Max, love this piece too, you are getting somewhere indeed! each thought may be just a tiny fish in a shoal, but together it is a countless mass in the right direction. let the Turtle guide you trough the oceans

Hmm, was supposed to lead you to a pic of a swiming leatherbag turtle (a totem of me).
Keep swimming indeed (a fellow student - Dutch born, but lived most of her youth in australia) would have said Indidi, Indidi

Max, nicely done and brimming with stunning positivity and sense of hope skilfully woven through-out.
A real beacon and rock of a poem to take solace from and that's always a good thing.
You really nailed it with this one, a superb uplifting write.
A great soulful metaphor and social message to abide with.
Full honours and poetry kudos gratefully and deservedly given.
And stay poetry frosty my friend.
