Little Lions

Domestic, fantastic
How could they be so fabulous?
Scritch-scratching away
On the tiny boards
Rough and tough
They can take the little paws
The sound can get annoying
Scratch, scratch, scratch away
The board can take the pain
Until they grow tired, they keep on going
Close their eyes, they keep on going.

Shiny, shimmering
The little strands shine in the light
The strands are connected
Held up in this little ball
Watch out! They’ll run out fast
The shine enchants their little heads
Race faster, race faster
Catch the tiny ball
Proudly they lay
They finally caught the itty bitty ball.

How splendid are they!
These mini lions
Rough and tough
Proud with courage
These creatures called cats
Roam around throughout the night
Lazy they say
Boring they say
Misjudged by all
They are cats:
mighty , soft, warm, and all.
