When I saw you, for the first time today,
 I soon recognized the roll that I'd play,
 in your whole life, starting from now
 until the end of my days...WOW!.....

I saw that tiny, pink little hand,
 somehow your needs, I just understand.
 so sweet in my arms, as I cuddle you close,
 your face is so perfect, that cute button nose!

Asleep and so safe, I want you always to feel,
 I'll protect you forever, our unbreakable deal!
 your mine and I'm yours, this I know from the start,
 until you are ready, intertwined are our hearts;

Then one day you'll go, ready then, to move on,
 it's then that I'll know, you've grown up, my works done...

But, I promise, right now, as I look in your eyes,
 I'll try my very hardest to sooth all of your cries,
 I'll feed you, and bathe you and sing lullabies,
 and every thing else in between and besides;

You've made me so happy, I'm contented to be,
 forever and always, your loving mommy;
 I cant believe the strength, I have felt since your birth,
 I could never have guessed, what these moments were worth;

I now have in me, the best feeling I've known,
 its not only you, I now see, that has grown,
 I too have been reborn, into this new light,
 forever I'm yours, your my "everything right"!

Thank you my child, for the "you" that you are,
 for coming down to my arms, my own little star,
 together we'll grow, I'll teach and guide your way,
 through a happy, healthy life, until one day, you'll say...

these same words to your little one, when they also come,
 down into your arms, and you'll say then, "Hey Mom!"
 " I've never been more happy!" It's then that you'll see,
 just how beautiful, how precious, you've made this world for me!!!!
