Lives of Quiet Desperation

Life is rarely straightforward;
Of that I've learned-
I've seen too many places flood;
Too many places burn.
The British Royal Family can be taken as an example:
The death of Diana; the fire at Windsor Castle.
  Life is like driving along a winding road in a thick fog:
One false move and fate will mock
Your attempt to live an easy life:
Throughout its course problems arise.
Cars break down; Systems crash.
If we're not stuck in traffic
We're in a rush.
Most people take it on the chin-
Going on; not giving in.
