Locked Up

I proved myself wrong
an injustice has been done
to my mind, body and more
I heard you were good at investigative work

so figure me out
I was involved in a hit and run
locked up last night
hit hard by a sting of intense brutality

It left me strangely cringing for more
I was with an experienced detective
who definitely knew the law
checked every crack, crevice and hole

The arrest was the best thing
the part when he told me I could not go
It was so damn good being trapped in a cell
with surroundings I couldn't control

Off came the cuffs as he released me
I broke loose from the centre
but fractured under the pressure
and admitted my crime to walk right back in
