LONELY IS THE SHADOW CRYING

I Know that it is here
in the Animal skin crafted loneliness
tempted exits
caution hunger as boredom reads the great text
even death offers sanctuary
stillness with its peace and slit wrists
large heavy drapes in service drawn

Time gifted in its length
hangs from Jesus's little sunbeam
rainbow puddles in the capture
fed in constant urine stream
blessed wooden urns decorate
stained oak ceiling beams break the dawns reflections

I sit crossed boned
on a bag of silver coin
the slender shadow breathes in short gasping cries
lonely the eyes that create false past
and photographs burn in such ease
lovers curse and spit disease

visions collect with slaughter
sticky crimson flags
lonely
tempted cutting flesh
crawling into glass cracked with years and deceit

Spawned into another dark lonely bequest
ashamed from refusing deaths tempted rest
no voice
no spirited banging door
no friendly sunken feast

just lonely
just the animal
just the shadow crying

just time and more time
