Lonesome Heart

The mighty oak I see outsideĀ
It's roots are deep and longĀ
It will live a hundred years
And bend when winds are strongĀ
I sometimes feel I can't go onĀ
Losing you is hurting meĀ
I sometimes wish late at nightĀ
I had the strength of that old treeĀ
The days my friends they stand by meĀ
They tend to help me throughĀ
But then at night when darkness fallsĀ
Again I'm missing you Ā
I try to fight but strength won't comeĀ
Soon I fall apartĀ
Then the tears fall like rain
Ā So alone is a lonesome heart...
I sometimes wish I had the strengthĀ
To pick up and move alongĀ
But memories that I have with youĀ
They make the nights so longĀ
I sometimes wish I had the strengthĀ
So I would not fall apartĀ
Missing you is against my willĀ
So alone is a lonesome heart...
