Look At You My Little Angel

Look At You My Little Angel

Look at you my little angel, as cute as you can be;

Just three months old, and so cuddly, and you belong to me!

I knew you were the right one, that first day when we met;

You ran from all your siblings, by my side for me to pet!

I picked you up and held you, you licked and licked my face;

I felt something in my chest thump, as my heart began to race!

I fell in love that moment, as I knew that you did too;

So I signed off on your papers, and paid the folks for you!

I brought you to your new home; you ran around and played;

This was the first time you’d left your Mother, and I was quite afraid!

But you let me know that first night; I could allay all of my fears;

For you slept the whole time beside me, as I rubbed your head and ears!

Now you’re learning new things, like walking on a leash;

And how to let your Daddy know, when you have to make a peesch!

And every place I take you, people stop to give you love;

Look at you my little angel, my gift from up above!
