LOOK FOR THE GOLD

LOOK FOR THE GOLD

No matter how painful
The process must be
There's something beautiful
I want you to see

Don't look at the struggle,
Don't look at the loss
Look for the gold
Don't look at the dross

Look at the strength
You were able to sustain
Developed only;
Through the crucible of pain

Look at the resilience
It took to get here
Fighting through pain
That was most severe

Through it all,
It made you just who you are
A compassionate person
With a beautiful scar

You didn't turn cold or let your heart
Turn to stone
But allowed pain to reveal
The tenderness shown

You learned to give
From your own desperate need
To care for the wounded
Hearts that bleed

Through it all,  you learned
There was something to gain
The strength and the beauty Revealed through the  pain

Having done all to stand;
Having done all there is to do
You've left behind a legacy
The gold revealed in you

So don't look at the struggle
Don't look at the loss
Look for the gold
Don't look at the dross

I only saw whatever you...
