Look Not For The Morrow

Look Not For The Morrow

Inspired by Gerard McGowans’ powerful poem “The master plan”
.
                                       A future of doom
                                      Now over us looms
                                Mankind spreads his greed
                                      Instead of his seed
                                Mother Earth once so pure
                                   Is wholesome no more
                                  Her beauty’s been raped
                                   No longer sweet draped
                                      Now war and decay
                                     Are with us each day
                                    Her children are dying
                                Bombs and bullets are flying
                                        Suicides’ insanity
Replaces all that used to be
                                     While two crazy fools
                                      For World War drool
                                 When it erupts once again
It will be all our ends
                                    A clockwork of booms
                                   Will bring all our dooms

.
                                   The Earth will soon end
                          Mankind made Gods’ bright Garden
                                    The Devils’ dark Hell

Hi Larry, this is really good, I love the short crisp lines, they have such a dramatic effect on this poignant piece,

the Earths boiling point
is quickly reaching its peak
as timer runs out

All my Love
