Lord Of The Dogs

You need to make some changes, in a dogs’ longevity;

For they leave us way too early, and fair it does not be!

How could you let some turtles live, for over two hundred years?

And give our dogs at most eighteen, and bring us endless tears!

I’m wondering if the wrong one, has stuck them with their fate;

For it seems the work of Satan, to plan their departure date!

No animal is more cherished, than our precious canine friends;

It seems like something he’d do, give such little time to spend!

If you need our help to fight him, we’ll pledge an army true;

To eradicate this monster, all power back to you!

And after we defeat him, Hell’s fury then be gone;

We’ll correct all his misdoings, and all that he made wrong!

The first change that we’ll ask for, is to give our dogs more life;

Please make them live much longer, and save us from our strife!

So how about thirty plus years, on that we can agree;

We’d eternally be  grateful, Dear God, please let it be!
