Lorna

Lorna

Vast tis restless sea
Vainglory taunts thee
Selkie bridles errant wave
Spurns heart freely gave

O' siren croon hasty demise
Bemoan wayward guise
Poseidon recants serous son
Otherworldly prodigal one

Laments to callous sea
Lorna swaddle misery
Laurel crown in flaxen hair
Poetic countenance most fair

Cradle thine unborn chile
Fates gird dimpled smile
Endow a lover’s hue
Aqueous eyes kelpie blue
