Losing sight

Losing sight

My mind plays tricks as time goes by, and steals your memory from my eye.

The clarity I saw you with, is blurring with each day I live,

and now, when I call you to me, it's not quite right, I can't quite see.

I get the merest flash of you, but then you blend with others too,

your features twisting all around, your voice so lost, in all the sound.

I thought I'd seared you in my brain, instead, I'll lose you once again.

For though I search with all my might.........I know you'll soon be out of sight.
