Lost

 Lost in the eternal haze of blue
Wandering, dazed, as I search for a brilliant hue
One to match myself and to ring true
In this shifting scape, there's only this left to do
For I have paid my debt to you

Oh Goddess of the lost sea
I pray and I beg of thee
Loose the chains so that I might be free
With the turn of a key
I can return to being me

At the end I spy a light
Shimmering at the finality of my tunnel so bright
In much contrast to the accustomed night
It reignites my will to trudge through and fight
With a leap of faith I cast off the dark blight

A fire shines within my soul
Carried through that navy world of coal
And into this dimension without the darkened droll
I carry through like a wounded foal

With the glorified smile of staying alive in such a brutal dark
This new state offered such an effervescent spark
One which has set a very tall mark

As I carry forward, all but forgotten laid the dark of my past
