Lost

Like 4 Pin it 0I cannot be stoic, my heart is in pain, my faith is the rainbow, the light after rain.Β You know who I am for now at this time, slowly but surely your losing your mind.
To see you confused, upset in your state, t'is bittersweet watching you clearing your plate, staving off hunger and sleeping at night, brings me comfort though going home is not right.
I promise I'll be patient as best I can be, you are my father and you mean everything to me.Β I'm with you on this journey,Β both of us lost, your hand in mine, together at all cost.
You may be stubborn and to you your just fine, but i promise ill support you until the end of your time.Β My best friend I love you, you'll always present to be, the sincerest, gentilistΒ of men I will ever know or see.

It's such a terrible disease, I watched my grandmother fade away, her memories erased.
This is such a beautiful poem, lovely to read yet painfully sad, thanks for sharing.Β
Well written. It tugs the heart strings x
excellent ink, I use to take care of the elderly and worked quite a bit with Dementia patients.
