LOST AND FORGOTTEN

I've heard you speak
My soul you've captured
Echoing words
My ear has never heard before
Your magnetic field
Of fables and tales
Laying siege to my heart
And mind
I was overcome by the thought
Of being in your presence
In a world
Both human and Devine
You gestured to me
Come sit in our midst
Bathe your mind
In our literally pool
But what was I thinking
To open my mouth
In a sorority
That deemed me
As a fool
I've poured out my heart
From the very start
Like the heavens release of rain
But after singing your songs
And cheering you on
You never
Mentioned my name.

Oh Wilford, this is so sad! Excellent wordsmithing. The last line ends this poem with a huge and powerful punch. Love this and pinned it x
Thank you so much... Being Me.
What would happen to us all, if we weren't able to express heartfelt thoughts??
I appreciate you.
