Lost Control

Lost Control

There she was laying in bed
Thinking about what he had said
You could see the tears from miles ahead
If you had seen what you've damaged
Not one fingertip you turned for her
Did not see how she burned further

She moved her elegancy, her whole soul
to the strains coming from the piano
It was like she was forcing herself to feel
To feel what she had hidden and buried
You made her feel dead in a body so alive
Took her in and spit her out like a test drive

She was disgusted but still couldn't hate you
After all you did, you would never know, how hard it hit
You could not feel the guilt she had,
when she talked to someone else instead
You were the voice in her head
With fear every question was asked
But you were gone a long time ago
So what does it mean that you're still in control
