Lost & found

Lost & found

Searching...
     in earnest...
          for my sweet little girl,
more precious to me than a new-found pearl.
Missing dress-up days and her innocent smile,
wet slobbery kisses and just snuggling awhile.
Peek-a-boo, puzzles, and learning ABC's...
just a snapshot of phases that evaporated with ease.
Then training wheels, wagons and floaties when swimming,
now dependence is fading, so noticeably dimming.
Youthfulness perched on maturity's border,
the now-past moments etched by memory's recorder.
Sleep-deprived nights for far different reasons,
changes abounding with the passing of seasons.
How can it be we're walking shoulder-to-shoulder?
My shoes don't fit her, she's wiser, she's bolder!
Oh here she is now, the lost has been found!
She went and grew up with my attention unwound...

Aww, thanks Tony!  The phrase "lost & found" came to mind and then the spin on it.  My girls are growing up so fast, too fast!  The world is a scary place but there is love & hope alive more than we hear...  Good to hear from you!  You & Cherie provide consistent support!*!*!  Have a blessed Christmas season...

Hello Jackie...

My Granddaughter turned 7 Years Old this last Summer...

Granddaughter 7 already!

Uugh!

I'm too young for this...

She keeps reminding me how old age she is and she's already asking me if I can buy her a Car when she's ready for it...

I told her when I'm ready for you to be ready for it I will let you know...

We'll talk about that when you're 40 Ok?

Then 10 Years after that we can discuss your Wedding if you've had a Fiance' for 30 Years...

She tried telling me that's not right...

I told her the Law changed when she was 3...

?

Great write!

Thank you for sharing...

Hugs...

Hello Jacki...

I don't have all the Bugs out of it yet...

She'll have friends that will be driving at the age permitted by Law and She'll probably be told there really isn't a Law about being 50 Years Old to get married...

She knows how to spell some pretty big words for her age and when I ask her a question she said she'll have to Google...

I'm going to be the one needing help too...

HELP ME PLEASE!

?????
