Poem -

Lost in service

She's so scared of letters in grey envelopes, oh dear.
She knows they never bring any good news…
Lost in service,Ā
This is what they say…

No matter how much she prays in despair,
No matter how loud she cries on top of her lungs…
Lost in service…
This is what they say…

He said: don't cry your eyes out for me my love,
He said: please try to be happy, & I love you, always.
And now he's lost in service…
Why did he even say that…

And she tries, oh my dear god, how hard she tries…
And she oftentimes fails but sometimes she smiles…
Wounds heal, scars mean that she's still alive.
Still… alive… thou' not at anyone's service...

She's only scared of letters in grey envelopes,
ā€˜Cuz they never bring any good news...
