Lost in the night

Eyes glare as I wander the lonely night, the moon lit above but yet I see no light. Following the narrow paths to find my way, holding back tears- keeping my emotions at bay. 
No one understands that darkness brings me peace, as I am one with my thoughts, feeling the release. I am hidden in the shadows, hidden from the living around me, to them I am invisible as the can no longer see; the scars are mental, there is ice in my heart, caused by the monster who tore it apart. You made me numb to the physical pain, stolen my emotion- driven me insane. Death is shown in my eyes, exhaustion shown in my stance, I am sick off your lies, but yet you compelled me in a trance.
you have muttered your dirty words, freezing me from the inside out, my head is filled with pain as I seem to doubt;
that my life will ever get better, that I will ever see the light,
as currently I'm hidden in the shadows,
lost in the night.
