love and hatred

love and hatred

fertile soil is our heart
through our arteries feelings
grow and spread
to flourish over our skin
such is the seed of loveĀ
whilst that rose’s thorns
makes us bleed inside

love is kind to some
to others love is blind
deaf and insensitive
oh, how well I know love!
love is great and wonderful
it raises you to the highest
as if there were no tomorrow
then, it lets you fall into oblivion
because love forgets
it forgets about you
it lets you cry and die slowly
in loneliness, because love changes
sometimes the seed of love changes
it produces fruits of hatred
oh, how well I know love!
but hatred corrodes, suffocates
it is a bitter poison that
darkens the most fertile soil
turning it into a barren land
where happiness cannot grow

I am only a dreamer
I clean the house
put flowers in a vase and
leave the door ajar
if we cannot make of love
a lover
we can still make of love
a faithful friend
oh, how well I know love...!
