Love At First Word

Your voice entranced me from the first syllable
Reciting human history in those few words
As you fought with the hotel owner
I wanted to do nothing more than kiss you
But I couldn't because we barely know each other
Your tone moved my Heaven and my Earth
Watching from the sidelines
You tried the door and it worked this time
I wish I had told you what I felt
For me it was love from the minute that
you opened your mouth
But I'm back home now
And you're in Italy
I hope that you see this letter
Because I deeply regret
Not telling you
Or taking a chance.
