Love Breaks My Heart

Imagination is my favorite place.
It’s where I can have you.
That’s where you’re falling into love with me.
But my imagination has become a forbidden place.
I can’t love you and that’s the worst fact that exists.
Not being allowed to love,
when it’s everything I want to do,
when everything reminds me of you.
When love is everything to a person,
the only way to not feel pain,
is to never feel love.
Therefore,
what is love?
Love is a person.
An extraordinary special person.
A person who doesn’t know what she means to me.
You can’t play safe in love.
You have to just go and jump.
And then you’ll find out what hides behind that wall of love and secrets.
I have jumped
and I found sadness and emptiness.
I came to lose love.
Love that I didn’t even possess.
Why do I cry over something I never had?
You see, I can’t escape the way I love you.
I really don’t want to.
But I just love you.
Without you,
I’ve never been so lost.
I want to let go of you, I really do.
But I can’t.
You’re like sunshine.
It’s dark without you.
You’ve become like the wind.
I can’t see you,
I can only feel you.
In my mind.
I know I’m stupid.
For loving you.
But I can’t stop myself,
From loving the sweetest thing on earth.
I don’t want to break down in tears,
When I’m dying to meet you.
I still love you.
I’m forever yours.
But I’m trying to hold on to something that I don’t even have.
I gave you love.
You gave me friendship.
And then you left me.
You broke my heart.
