Love Brian

Love Brian

Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β

A man that created a million smiles.
A man I look up to.
A man that would play with a child and would love...pushing you round till he ran out of puff.
Never too proud, you would fall on the ground, still dizzy and laughing from spinning around.
I must of been 9, and remember a time,Β  we were stuck in a caravan, raining outside. My brother and I who had spotted a zip line, on our way in, that we wanted to try.
You saidΒ  "Come on kid's, grab your wellies and coats, who wants to go out on that zip wire first?"
We ran in the rain, laughing all of the way, and you slipped in a puddle, got covered in mud. Now, some other adults this could've spelled trouble, the end of the fun, let's go back on the double.
But not you!
You just got back up with no fuss, and still smiling at us, you said "Who wants a push?"
You always made sure of a laugh in the house, or wherever it was, if you'd taken us out.
You never complained and you cleverly found, the lining of silver in every cloud.
You opened your heart and your soul to my family.
You shone in our lives, and to Grandma especially.
-Fun and Love are the best prizes on earth,
Β By this we can measure what our lives are worth.

Wow!
Touched me deeply.
People like this are rare, they are the builders of great adults.
My father is such a man. At 98 yrs he still encourages and laughs.
As you can tell I really enjoyed your write.
