LOVE DIES UNSPOKEN
watched you slide between the weeks
shaved the head from this morning kiss
drank a last drowning gift
coffee dark and thick with sin
dreaming pictures
nailed to the misty walls that dream
Darkness hailed me the cab
while cats fought in eager claw
this shadow bribed in light
death breathes- alive
those eyes you cast as dice
gamblers ate without a sacrifice
This body rented scar
laid across a mounted venus
too soon the barefoot march
on roads of printed glass
across some dreary town
inside locked within the same clown
we discuss our disguise
dress in time
set in the slated path
marble teeth those monolith laughs
pointed
broken fingers lay
displayed in shallow pools
as legs twisted far apart
accept the loaded heart
I fear just the day
love hidden
curled against the scent of wet stone
moss heaves in the silent rasp
this grave quickly comes to pass
unmarked with cloud
When words retreat
trapped inside the rattling head
When love
can never escape
but travels in the landscape of the circle
words retreated
words unsaid
yet repeated inside
this rattling head
