Love Letter

I have a love letter for you God,

people might see me as a little odd.

Believing in something that is invisible,

but, you are there every time I'm miserable.

I can come to you with all my strife,

you have been there for me all my life.

Sure, I have not always known this,

now, I see when things go amiss.

I see the footprints trailing through the sand,

whether you're carrying me or walking hand in hand.

Although I have never seen you face to face,

I know I am saved by your loving grace.

I don't need proof of you being there,

I know in my heart that you care.

I love you for everything you have done,

things only a Father can do for His son.

Even though life has been wild,

I am convinced that I am your child.

This is not just something in my head,

it's all in the Bible that I read.

I am reminded every time I see a beautiful dove,

of your unfailing grace and love from above.

I know the sacrifices you have made,

I will not let your love fade.

I know I am filled with your Holy Spirit,

in this love letter you can hear it.

If people ask, I will tell them, Satan lies,

then people will see your love in my eyes.

God, I love you with all my heart,

letting you know in this letter is a start.

I know you are there making things better,

this is the reason for this love letter.
