What's My Next Task

What's My Next Task
by Troy Allen Houston
God has saved me from hell,
He gave me this story to tell.
Was once a disobedient child,
man, was I ever wild.
God said, "I got a question for you,
in your shoes what would Jesus do?"
"This is a good question," I said.
As I pondered His question in my head.
The answer was hard to find,
then this is what came to mind.
I would study the Bible with care,
to answer God's question fair.
Jesus taught the Word of God,
some people thought He was a fraud.
Every word He said was true,
He said they came from You.
Use me to show people the way,
to glorify Your name everyday.
I will walk with You Father,
really, it isn't any bother.
God, I know You are never wrong,
I will walk with You, no matter how long.
As I have gotten to be older,
Jesus, put Your yoke on my shoulder.
In Jesus' steps, I'll try not to stumble,
if the Lord will make me humble.
Jesus gave His life for me,
in return I give mine to Thee.
"What would Jesus do?" You ask.
Like Him, I await Your next task!
