Lovers

Lovers

Lips shall nary meet
Moments are bittersweet
To light he must obey
In darkness she must stay
Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β Β
Lovers of each hour
Time sternly dour
By day he weeps
For dusk slowly creeps

Passing ships by night
Neither sees redeeming light
Dawn’s early morn
Awakens reborn

Twilight anticipates
Awaiting decree of fates
But alas shall never embrace
She fades without trace
