Love's tragic damnation
Twilight

I flung myself before her
and begged her for forgiveness
She cradled me in her arms
covered me in kisses
and all her charms
Our embrace was delicate
and our love so passionate
I whispered all of my desires
into her sweet ears
Our eyes they met in silent longing gazes
that heralded
love's
elation
and now the
nightbird
sings
in
moonlight
Suddenly we knew we couldn't
resist
each others delights
our temptation
intensified
with every breathe
it seemed at that one
moment
we existed only
for each other,
and yet
you were once a
distant
lover.
Now we have ceremoniously consumated all our
desires in carnal delights
too obscene to the
uninitiated
to mildly describe
but your flowing hair
is angelic
and your breath
cool and incumbent
the scent of
oak and dead wildflowers
permeates
our tongues caress in sweet
delight
savouring and devouring
this slendid
last supper
but now
we must be
quick
before we are caught
in our act of
bliss,
my lover
my unholy corpse,
for burn us at the stake
they surely
would and
betray
this torrid love that
they 'd never understand or
approve
and if they ever knew
God forbid what
we do
as our love
knows no bounds...
In this life
nor even in death
we shall never part
soon we will be
eternal
together
and now your
empty casket
I must return it to the sacred
garden
and cover it with earth's
blanket
and you my sweet love
will no longer
feel the cold
for I promise you
that you will
never be alone
and
in our bed we can warm
our flesh and bones
and passionately
ride
in this tempestuous
chorus
and in the morning
we can make love again
and again
to our heartbeat's
rejoiceful
chanting
Yes my dear
our love is
uniquely
eternal
and I can keep our
secret I promise
Don't worry
my love
I'm so happy
I found you
We
can stay here in bed
and embrace
forever
in the twilight
