Loving Her

Loving Her

Loving her is the easiest thing

I’ve ever done.

The first time I laid eyes on her

My heart stopped

And I fell in love.

Not only with her looks,

Although she is very beautiful

But by the way her eyes sparkle

When she smiles

And her nose crinkles

When she laughs

And the sweet sound of her voice

Singing to the radio in the car

With her hand in mine.

She has me wrapped around her finger

And falling hard

In so many ways

I never thought were possible.

The words she says

Never cease to amaze me

And make me feel like I can do anything

As long as she is by my side.

The gross I love you arguments

When neither of us gives in

And the half asleep goodnights

Barely audible as she falls asleep

Make my heart flutter as I fall harder

Hoping I’m the one in her dreams

While I lie awake missing her.

The little things she does

Make me melt into a puddle

From the way she can make me laugh

At nothing at all

In a way that nobody else can

To the way she makes me cry

Only ever of pure joy.

I never believed in having another half

Because it sounded unreal

To need someone to feel alive

But somehow she completes me

And makes me feel full of life.

My life is forever changed

By this precious sweet angel

Who came into my life

And lit up my world

When I felt I was impossible to love.

She doesn’t believe me

When I tell her she’s beautiful

But in a crowd of people

She’s all I can see.

I now know the real meaning of home.

Home isn’t a place but a feeling.

It’s the sound of her heartbeat

In the silence of the night

And the feeling of her arms

Wrapped gently around me.

My heart has nothing but love for her

She’s my forever,

My rock,

My world.
