Loving Wordies

Loving Wordies

You poets all help me weather the winter
With your warm and loving wordies
Making it tolerable as I hibernate till spring
Until the return of the birdies

Methinks I'll take a long nap until April
Till once more it's all shiny and new
You'll certainly know when that day arrives
Coz you'll hear all the hullabaloo

Dancing in the streets in my scanty attire
And singing at the top of my lungs
As I try to avoid all the sweet young ladies
Trying to pat me on the bum

Life's tough but I still offer my services
For the good of all mankind
The crown weighs heavily upon my head
But it leaves me with peace of mind
