A special someone (Part 2)
I used to think that elegance was love. Beauty would give connection. Now I realise the ones that you get to love, are those that make you feel most comfortable.
Like a flower from a rock,
Our love was born with vast obstacles.
As children, a diamond in the rough,
Of rumours and of luck.
As they tried to pull us apart,
We came closer.
And now you’re in my arms,
A Journeys start.
I remember the first time you held my hand,
When we still had secrets to hide.
With you, I feel fulfilled,
A sense of familiarity in your embrace.
Swim with me through the currents,
Let’s travel the oceans.
I`ll show you the world if you let me,
Go places we`ll only dream.
And one day,
When the time comes.
Our paths will change,
Set your own journey.
For we cannot control our travels,
Just hold me as we walk,
Endless forest path.
Birds chirp all around.
Pick the flowers along the rock.
Sift through the diamonds in the rough.
Every step of the way

Awww thanks so much Marion, it's so true, it's when the saying "it's about the journey not the destination" really makes sense to me! Oh no you are not pushy love...you are a valued member on here always participating and commenting and helping to make this site a community and a nice place to be. You are a fabulous writer and please let me know when you post because it is so easy to miss loads on here...we tend to read whatever is in view when we come on...and honestly..I'm not a popular writer, I don't get that many votes but occasionally we hit a jackpot. This is a really stunning poem, I read it a couple of times. It really throws out the sense of adventure and excitement in the beginning of love and the loyalty thereafter.
