Poem -

Lucy

As you peer into my eyes

Wondering in awe

Am I your long lost Mother

Through the eons of time

And endless climatic changes

I have lain undisturbed

Now the wind of time has exposed

My earthly remains

For you to rearrange as you please

My ghostly soul reawakened

But little do you know

How this lone Woman Warrior

Raised her brethren

For I have known the darkness

Of many hungry men

I have tasted the blood

Of many hungry men

My children have tasted the blood

Of many hungry men

As you stare into my soul

And my aching sadness stares back

As the stench of your vile breath

Once again sweeps over my bones

You have ignited a fiery rage

That burns deeply within

And as this battle weary World

Spirals into the deepest abyss

Woman will once again

Feed her hunger upon the flesh of Man
