Lullaby Poetry

I rock you to sleep precious baby girl
Not quite like the tree top
Not even when the wind blows
Will I ever let your cradle drop
I can sing you a lullaby
If you don't like how I sing
Tough luck, mama can't afford a diamond ring
You are my baby, I am forever your mother
I can't give you the moon, I can teach you the value of a hard earned dollar
The early bird gets the worm
But I'll raise you to be the sun
Some days you'll laugh, others you'll mourn
I'll teach you to live without me, sadly that day will come
But until then, mommy promises you her knowledge, devotion and love
When you slip and fall I will be there in a hurry
I would steal all the kings men,
Just to put you together again
I'd be happy to jump over the moon
Just to put a smile on that pretty little face

I haven't heard from you in a while. Good to see that you are still a fan. Thanks for reading
I'm most definitely still a fan, been really busy with my company, but still search out your work, I suspect that you will always be a fascinating read, 'keep kicking arse, kid'
