LURKING IN THE DARK

She walks the streets late at nightÂ
When the tired are behind closed doorsÂ
Her eyes pierces through the darknessÂ
As her lust takes full controlÂ
Her apparel is painted to her body
It's length above her kneesÂ
Her walk is filled with frictionÂ
The weak' heart is lured, then seized
Her hair she tosses like a spiders web
With every step she takes
Her body is that of a goddessÂ
And the fool, longs for her embraceÂ
She speaks deception with her eyesÂ
As her lips poisonously smilesÂ
She has found he who lacks wisdomÂ
Her first victim of the nightÂ
He seems to be up in age
His hair sprinkled with black and whiteÂ
But he lacks wisdom and insightÂ
A promising AIDS victimÂ
Of she who walks the night.
Wilford Barker.
