Just An Illussion

Always On my Mind

She was all I had ever dreamed of, and was always on my mind.
Just an illussion I had created, one day I hoped to find.
I searched and searched along every road, trying to discover.
The girl in my mind I had always sought, but never could recover.

Just a quiet thought and a silent dream was what she was to me.
Comfort and Hope is what I sought, and was all she could decree.
Her lightest touch and her warm embrace is what I most admire.
And in my dreams she comes to me, and allows me to retire.

Again and again she calls my name and her voice is always silent,
but my mind was clear when I saw her face, and of this she could not deny it.
So along this road I continued to walk with this image in my mind.
Until such a time when I hoped to find, this girl who could unwind.

With just a whisper she would disappear and leave my mind with regret.
And it was only in the deepest night when I was able to forget.
This girl on my mind who was only a dream, who never went away.
The day would arrive when I would find this girl, and determined she would stay.
