Magic Mushrooms

The definition of Magic Mushroom is such
That it forms an image of those years
Hippies ruled the roost, challenged the status quo
An era of free thinking despite the fears
But when Magic Mushrooms became popular
Beginning an era of “free thinking”
The left over effect today has changed us forever
They convey a time of unblinking
Onwards to a great era of an exciting new future
Of fabulous things that lie just ahead
Perhaps a serum to allow us to enjoy eternal life
Summing it up, nothing more to be said
Whenever the words Magic Mushroom are spoken
They conjure up visions of a riotous past
Each era is unique, resting in its own special slot
No one could envision a future so vast

interesting write linda j wright very nostalgic
Good morning Linda! I was around then but never partook!!! lol Lovesies, Jack xxx
Hi Jack, I love this poem. Pinned. I often feel magic mushrooms get so much bad press but this is only because they are misunderstood. In the right hands and in the right surroundings they are safe in my opinion. I have read several books that also claim psychedelic drugs are the basis for many religions. I wrote my own poem about mushrooms too if you'd care to check it out. I think it's on my third page. I look forward to reading more from you - SydÂ
