Poem -

Maiden

Fair maiden she
Who fancied me
To keep her young and well reservedĀ
Thirty scars over thirty years

I remember this woman
Wearing rags for robes
Who stayed in doors
While she left the outside closedĀ

Fair maiden she
The world much thought her fatherĀ
Who never knew of
Her gentleman callersĀ

Of me she never once spakeĀ
But she fancied me
For her beauty was at stakeĀ
But She's only been captured in a dream
Ā
