I'm a make believe poet
Just wasting my time
Scribbling thoughts to a rhythm
Hoping my words make a rhyme

I don't write to get famous
I don't write to get praise
I don't write to get rich
I don't write to amaze

I don't write from my soul
I don't write from my heart
I don't write from inspiration
I don't write cause I'm smart

I write for my family
I write for my friends
I write for you
And that's where it ends
