Making New Friends

The alarm sounds and the light shines through to brighten your way

Your feet hit the floor to start getting ready for the new day

Not knowing what new will come you head out with nothing in mind

Not thinking anything out of the normal may be upon your find

Going through a normal day you meet new people without a feeling

You may think they're nice or cool or  maybe even quite appealing

You strike some talk and enjoy this person you really don't know

Making new plans could start really fast or maybe a bit slow

Watching the clock, hating to see this day come to an end

But it will happen again because you just made a new friend
