Malevolent

Faint of heart, laid in bed,
Macabre thoughts dance in head,
Creaking door ajar spells fear,
Fluttered beats tis known he's near.

Malevolent foe in darkness creep,
Assessing limbs whilst you sleep,
'Neath bed amidst gloomy floor,
Cackles verbose fourscore.

Shadows paint a vivid scare,
End tis nigh, escape is rare.
Monsters exist, tis in your room,
Lights blink out, excite n loom.

Slinks a sound in dead of night
Bated breath regards in plight
Comes yonder dark and dank
Nowt jest or callous prank

Eyes of amber, keen of jowl
Rank tis exhale putrid foul
Flayed flesh dressed and skinned
Hellsh fiend insatiably grinned
