Poem -

Mama

The pastel colored flowers,
Oh, how sweet they smell.
Just like mama's apple pie.
Remember that night?

When there was no more hope.
Papa threw his coffee.
As it fell to the ground, my heart raced.

Sweet flowers.

1 smack, 2 smack, 3 smack.

Oh sweet flowers.

How did this happen?
Locked now, in a dark room.
All you can hear is the clock.
Tic, tic, tic. The noise never stops.

Sweet mama, I love you.
Papa doesn't.
He hits Mama.
You tell me to do nothing.
But Mama, why?
Don't you want to be free?

The only noise i hear now is sirens.
Mama, where did you go?
Mama, you told me you loved me.

The pastel colored flowers;
Oh how they remind me of home.
Just like Mama's apple pie.
Remember that night?
