MARBLE NAMES

wishing on a star

Cloudless atlas eyes
staring down another hidden night
between the lovers
daybreaks on  soft shores
counting the figures crying
in between the stinging rain

Commit me and electrify
undecided genius wrote on
white padded floors
falling over always hurt before
spike collars  attending
dressed in those borrowed shrouds
cupcakes left behind the eyelid doors
tempted fingers
broken by harsh victims
starved in scented voice

So sorry
see all the echos holding hands
keeping themselves very very small
steel beads sweated needle
flinging noiseless fears
generations laid on menu calls
each line marble
and displayed
while a granite moon fails
in happiness, we steal another play

yet the longing in each fairy tale
ends up always six feet small
cremated skies
I watched you spread
with the blade as you slept
slicing blue and holding red

Written beneath
this white padded floor-
circles completed
fool

Dawn before dawn

ancient prayers which fall as autumn comes
