Mariner's Prayer

Abreast of marauding clips
Partaking aqueous slips
Crescendos a siren call
Adhere to a chaotic pall

Sailor tis a lover entwine
Intoxicated by a briny design
Whimsical tides vast
Torrid a spell cast

Tempest skies most fickle
Awash on Grim’s sickle
Waters lust for foolhardy kin
To imbue a brackish coffin

And yet horizon’s most fair
Summon a mariner’s prayer
Along the seaworthy path
To brave a watery wrath
