Markers

Friends are like markers
When you first get them
They fill your life with color
They fill in your empty lines
With themselves
But sometimes
You forget
To put the cap back on
And they dry out
Useless and colorless
You throw them away
And go back to the store

But if we don't take care of them
They fade away or become numb

That you kindly for your wise perspective
