Marzipan Love

Marzipan Love

She washed her hands with almond scented soap,
the fragrance was reminiscent of success,
it would stay with you forever, more or less,
how sweet thou art, like a yellow summer's day.

She did not come in the normal way,
but drifted in on an effervescent cloud,
the aroma of lavender was not allowed,
only almonds to permeate a naked soul.

She walked with a lush forest canopy,
fingers of sunlight cast dark shadows,
my poetess waxed lyrical above and belows,
the Earth was better for her tremor underfoot.

The taste of her, beyond sweet passion,
was to remain indelibly with you always.
